Hello, I'm Penny MacInnis and welcome to our studio!

My career as a school teacher started over 45 years ago.

Working as an educator, my passions for educating children and for art led me to expand my skills as an artist so that I could bring the world of art to my students.

This creative path has allowed me to artistically express my love for art and nature with many mediums including water colors and acrylics.

I'm proud to be able to provide a space for children to explore
their love for art!

Canvastone Children's Art Studio is unique in that we offer instruction in four types of art including painting, drawing, digital, and soapstone carving.


The children come every second week for 1 1/2 hours each or once a month on a weekend for 3 hours.

Because many children take two classes, they come
every week.


Our classes are very small. For students aged 5 -7, there are 5 students per class and children aged 8 years and up are in classes of 6.


Our uniqueness extends to the finished product. Some of the drawing projects go home in a frame; all of the painting projects are framed ready
for display.
